SIP YouTube Competition 2018
Deadline for submissions: July 13, 2018 (midnight GMT).
Invertebrate pathologists, professional and amateur videographers alike, are invited to take part in the Society of Invertebrate Pathology’s video contest to promote the fields of invertebrate pathology and biocontrol. Videos may be related to research or have an educational focus, but must have a connection to basic or applied aspects of invertebrate pathology.
Winners will be announced at the SIP annual meeting, August 12-16 in Gold Coast, Australia. Prizes will be 1 award of $300 for first place, 1 award of $200 for second place and 1 award of $100 for third place.
1. Videos should be no longer than three minutes (3:00) in duration, excluding credits. Videos longer than three minutes will be disqualified.
2. At least one member of a team submitting a YouTube video must be a member of SIP. Attendance of the annual SIP meeting by at least one member of the submitting team is strongly encouraged.
3. To submit a video, complete the online Video Contest Form and submit your video file as directed.
4. Videos must be submitted by midnight (GMT) on July 13, 2018.
All videos will ultimately be displayed on the SIP YouTube Channel, with winning videos featured during the annual meeting, on the SIP website and through social media. By submitting the video, you automatically agree to the video link being shared by SIP on public social media platforms. See submission form for the copyright agreement.
