Dear SIP members and colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 2012 International Congress on Invertebrate Pathology and Microbial Control & 45th Annual Meeting of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology. The meeting will be held from August 5 to 9, 2012 at the Convention Center of the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
We are planning an exciting scientific program to explore the latest findings in invertebrate pathology, including microbial control of insect pests, diseases in beneficial invertebrates, medical and biotechnological significance of entomopathogens, and fundamental scientific research in host-pathogen interactions.
Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, is an elegant and cosmopolitan city of about 2.8 million inhabitants (12 million including the Greater Buenos Aires conurbation). It serves as a gateway to the varied natural and cultural wonders of this extraordinarily diverse South-American country.
Visitors will be fascinated by the city environment and the unique character of the different neighborhoods, each possessing a rich architectural heritage. The City has a world-renowned artistic and cultural life, with many theatres and museums, as well as excellent restaurants, shopping centers and many alternative activities to enjoy the stay.
